With the new test software by itCampus, automated system checks of web-based applications, websites and portals have never been so easy - final version now available
Just a few days ago, itCampus set the course for a better online world. Since June 2008, the final version of “web2test” has been available online (www.web2test.de), a software which checks web sites, portals and web applications without much effort and requires no special programming knowledge. Not only private users are likely to profit from this development but companies and public institutions too who rely on web-based software and services.
The “web2test” software affords comprehensive and fully automated system tests even of complex websites, portals and web-based applications. Additional unique selling points: All tests are browser-independent and independent of layout changes. In addition, web2test offers a real user simulation mode and is 100 % AJAX-capable.
Final version now online
After the conclusion of a beta phase of several weeks, web2test is now available in its final version. Simply browse www.web2test.de and download developers or runtime licenses for itCampus’s test software. In addition, you can download a demo version and evaluation licenses if you want to satisfy yourself of the capabilities of the new product before buying.
And our developers are constantly working on making web2test even better. Therefore, the final version already supports the future browser generations Firefox 3 und Internet Explorer 8. And yet another feature is in the making –the Linux version, scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2008.
Result of a close cooperation with QFS
web2test was developed jointly between itCampus and German software developer Quality First Software (QFS). It combines the Java GUI testing tool QF-Test, developed and licensed by QFS, and a web module for browser-based application testing developed by itCampus. “The economic benefit of web2test is obvious,” explains Holger Flemig, the developer in charge at itCampus. “The new software system guarantees a quality improvement of any web application while affording a very high level of cost effectiveness of the underlying infrastructure.”
