The release of the new web2test version 1.2 is scheduled for 15 April. Besides a revised tutorial, including among others a new dependency suite, version 1.2 also offers two long-awaited new features which further improve the handling of web2test:
- With “rc.setOption” a majority of the program options can not only be set globally but also temporarily for selected test cases or parts thereof. This largely increases the flexibility of the test cases.
- In the new version the user can access Javascript objects in the browser DOM for reading and writing via a Javascript bridge. Together with the Javascript bridge there are also new standard procedures included - e.g. for the verification of CSS properties.
